Youngsters breathe life into Navies side
While missing most of the Navy Blues’ Melbourne contingent due to cricket commitments, and playing a handful of juniors, Thiesz said he was “pleased with where we are going”.

PRE-SEASON hit outs against Lake Boga and Marong have new Charlton coach Carl Thiesz enthusiastic for the season to begin.
While missing most of the Navy Blues’ Melbourne contingent due to cricket commitments, and playing a handful of juniors, Thiesz said he was “pleased with where we are going”.
He was especially impressed with 15-year-old Murphy Fitzpatrick, who stepped up to the senior team against Marong.
Thiesz said he had been pushing the youngster to train with the senior players over summer, and while acknowledging that the club would have to be patient, believed Fitzpatrick could play some firsts football this season.
Charlton hosts St Arnaud, another team looking to challenge the better North Central sides, in the first round on April 11.
