Wild time for Orchid Club
Set in front of a waterfall, real ferns, logs with frogs, rocks, old tree stumps with birds nests and blue wrens, organisers say it was a sight to behold.

‘WHERE the Wild Things Grow’ was the theme for the St Arnaud Orchid Club’s stand at Shepparton challenge.
Set in front of a waterfall, real ferns, logs with frogs, rocks, old tree stumps with birds nests and blue wrens, organisers say it was a sight to behold.
“It was as if I had been transported to a secluded jungle, filled with orchids,” Club member Julie Koszanski said.
“Thank you to club members for providing their prized possessions for this display and to Kim, Darren Ferguson for creating the beautiful display itself. It was superb, the culmination of much painstaking work and effort.”
Ms Koszanski said work such as this required “critical attention to culture and detailed preparation”.
“It’s made this collection to be envied and such an inspiration to all other growers,” she said.
“Orchids stand supreme in the plant kingdom for their beauty and diversity.”
The club is always looking for new members. “There are many advantages to attending. We have guest speakers who advise on how to grow and care,” Ms Koszanski said.
