THE local Rotary Club will be firing up the hot plates this weekend in honour of some of our emergency services.

An annual tradition, the Club will cook breakfast to raise money for the St Arnaud CFA brigade, as they have for many years.

There was a steady turnout at last year’s event, which Club secretary Tony Marland said he hoped to see again this year.

“It’s our way of giving back to those who help their community time and time again,” he said.

“Giving them a breakfast and raising funds for them is the least we can do.”

Last year, brigades from Slaty Creek came across too to support the crew.

But for the local team, they’re just thankful they’re being seen and supporting, especially at a time when they may not feel that way all the time.

“Come down, grab a snag, and say g’day,” St Arnaud CFA captain David Reynolds said.

“Your support means the world to our team, and we’d love to see you there.

“We’re proud to serve such a generous and supportive town.”

The event will be held from 10.30am on Saturday morning outside the St Arnaud Town Hall.

Come down and give a bit of change to support the CFA.
