Standout winners on final bowl
Last Thursday’s final event began with novelty events on the green - closest to the two kitties in the centre, followed by closest to the ditch.
A SUCCESSFUL twilight season has wrapped up at Arnaud Bowling Club.
Last Thursday’s final event began with novelty events on the green - closest to the two kitties in the centre, followed by closest to the ditch.
Winners were Rob Batters and Paddy Duncan, and Maurie Wood and Brian Eccles.
Ten teams then played 10 ends, with plenty of fun, laughter and light-hearted banter carrying through the games and into the clubrooms afterwards.
The standout winners on the night — recording the largest winning margin of the entire season, 26 shots — were Terry McSwain, Glenda Bigmore and Chris Batters. Runners-up were Peter Duncan and Rob Batters, 11 shots up, with Tony Marland and Rolf Wacker third after winning by eight shots.
