WYCHEPROOF’S Royal Mail Hotel was a sea of green as patrons embraced the St Patrick’s Day celebrations.

The pub had the luck of the Irish on its side, with toe-tapping Irish tunes, played by Peter Schlitz, Jan Elder, and Loretta Beattie, and plenty of Irish cheer.

“The trio delighted the crowd with a mix of traditional Irish tunes and some well-loved classics, creating an atmosphere that had everyone smiling, clapping, and toe-tapping along,” local Jackie Noonan said. “Guests fully embraced the spirit of the day, donning green attire and fun Irish adornments, adding to the frivolity of the evening.

“Later, those finishing up at Calder United Football training found themselves lured in by the laughter, music, and all-round Irish merriment. From the first tune to the final cheers, the night was brimming with music, laughter and community spirit that makes gatherings like this so special.

“For those who missed out consider this a friendly reminder to mark St. Patrick’s Day 2027 in the diary.”
