Severe thunderstorm warning issued for St Arnaud and surrounds
ST ARNAUD residents are being warned to be aware of potential hazards caused by the severe thunderstorms, including debris, damaged buildings, trees down and fallen power lines.

ST ARNAUD residents are being warned to be aware of potential hazards caused by the severe thunderstorms, including debris, damaged buildings, trees down and fallen power lines.
Large hailstones and damaging winds are likely as the Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of central, Mallee, south west, northern country, north central and wimmera forecast districts.

What you should do:
Large hail is expected. Stay inside and away from windows.
Park your car undercover and away from trees.
Stay inside if conditions outside appear dangerous.
Contact family members and neighbours to ensure they are aware of the situation, if safe to do so.
Be aware of hazardous trees - heat, fire or recent storms may make trees unstable and more likely to fall during a storm.

If driving conditions are dangerous, safely pull over away from trees, drains, low lying areas and floodwater.
Be aware of road hazards such as debris and damaged roads or bridges.
