Saints remain undefeated
Birchip-Watchem were pumped at the starting huddle and their small, fast forwards were a force to be reckoned with.
IT WAS fresh and overcast conditions for the St Arnaud U14’s team trip to Birchip-Watchem on Saturday.
The team put on a great performance during the warmup and were primed for a great game .

After a tight first quarter Saints finished four points in front.
Coach, Daniel Greenaway, impressed at quarter time to get back to basics, keep tight on your player and run as hard to defend as into attack.
The players delivered in the second quarter with plenty of run from Patrick Zsigmond, Sam Greenaway and Lewis Lowe, who helped the Saints keep Birchip-Watchem scoreless for the quarter. They ended the first term with a score of 20-8.
While clean pick ups were hard to come by, tough tacking pressure came from Charlie Kirk and Darcy Brooks-Oaks as they kept the momentum going throughout the game.
The Saints were able to add to the scoreboard through Finn Evans who provided an excellent target up forward and the score stretched out to 34-8.
With the team determined to finish strong, Calum Wickham was rewarded for his second efforts and Isaac John’s continued to present to the end.
The team were very excited to continue their undefeated season.
