Due to a catastrophic weather forecast for Friday 9 January, the Charlton Probus Club cancelled its scheduled meeting.

The decision was later made to reschedule the meeting for 16 January.

Withonly a few days’ notice, it was pleasing to see 33 members in attendance, with nine apologies recorded.

After the formalities of the meeting were completed, Sue Livingstone entertained members with a selection of Christmas cracker jokes.

As there was insufficient time to organise a guest speaker, Anne Kenny presented a DVD featuring the Back-tos from 1926, 1938 and 1951.

The presentation also included a segment on the 1939 flood, along with excerpts highlighting the Primary and Higher Elementary Schools in 1940.

Sincere thanks to the Golden Grains Museum for allowing us to use this DVD.

This year marks a significant milestone as we celebrate 50 Years of Probus in Australia.
