CHARLTON Probus Club held its Annual General Meeting last week where president Kim Wishart welcomed 35 members, two guests, and Brian Heenan, who kindly attended to conduct the elections.

Ms Wishart delivered a comprehensive president’s report, reflecting on a successful year, and treasurer Nick Saunders confirmed the club’s finances remain in a healthy position.

Membership officer Garry Larmour presented 100 per cent attendance certificates to: Greg and Jenny Barnard, Margaret Bowen, Pat Clifford, Margaret Fradd, Sue Livingstone, Kevin Mathews, Brian and Sandra Patton, Eily Rosewall, Noreen Ryan, and Kim Wishart. “[It’s] a remarkable effort—clearly the club is doing something right to inspire such consistent participation,” Ms Wishart said.

Before elections commenced, the retiring president was presented with a folder of newsletters from her year in office, along with a past president’s pin.

Mr Heenan then conducted the elections. After some deliberation, Sandra Patton accepted the role of president.

Sincere thanks to Sue Walsh and her hospitality team for their excellent work.

Prior to the AGM, a general meeting was held where Pat Saunders introduced Rhonda Armstrong, who was inducted into the club.

Ms Armstrong previously belonged to a Probus club in Gippsland, and we warmly welcome her to our club.
