New facilities blessed and open at St Patrick's
Acting principal Eliza Tillig said it was a wonderful occasion which marked the completion of a project that has been many years in the making.
ST Patrick’s Primary School in St Arnaud is blessed to have had their new facilities opened last week.
The school community came together last Wednesday to celebrate the blessing and official opening of their new student amenities and staff planning room.
Acting principal Eliza Tillig said it was a wonderful occasion which marked the completion of a project that has been many years in the making.
“We were delighted to welcome families, parishioners, community members and special guests, including Martha Haylett, who joined us to celebrate this important milestone for St Patrick’s,” she said.
“The new facilities will provide significant benefits for our students and staff, supporting learning, wellbeing and collaboration for many years to come. Following the blessing, Martha officially opened the facilities by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the commemorative plaque.
“We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project over the journey, including the many staff, school leaders, consultants, contractors and supporters who helped bring this vision to life.”
St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School was awarded a $500,000 through the State Government’s Non-Government Schools Capital Fund to complete the project.
““Having a new, modern space for the hard-working staff to hold meetings, plan lessons, and come together is so important and I’m thrilled the staff now have this,” Ripon MP Martha Haylett said.
“Our country kids deserve modern school facilities and they now have this in St Arnaud.”
