Isabella and Molly worked tirelessly all game, creating strong position and providing excellent options for their teammates.
The defensive effort was a highlight, with Charlton restricting the Bulls to eight goals in the first quarter, six in the second, eight in the third, and just four in the final term.

CHARLTON’S first half of NetSetGo was positive, scoring four goals in each of the quarters, while restricting the Bulls to 10 and 7 respectfully.
Changes were made going into the final quarter which saw the Navies spend more time in possession, and restricted the Bulls to just six goals.
Rosie worked tirelessly throughout the match, providing clear attacking options, directing play well, and finishing strongly when opportunities arose.
While at the other end of the court, Marley was outstanding in defence across the opening three quarters, showing great strength under the post to secure numerous rebounds while also taking several clean intercepts.
Lily embraced the challenge of playing a different position each quarter and gave her best effort in every role, demonstrating versatility and commitment to the team.

THIS week, the Under 17A girls played a positive team game, with lots of combinations and positional changes throughout the match.
The attackers worked hard to move front and create space, making the most of their scoring opportunities throughout the game.
The defenders put together a strong performance, applying pressure across the court and creating plenty of turnovers.
Arleea Sarre impressed with her versatility, making a strong impact in both the defensive and attacking ends.
It was also fantastic to see U14 players Marley and Rosie step up and have standout games this week, contributing strongly to the team’s performance.

CHARLTON came up against a very polished, strong Birchip-Watchem C Grade this weekend. While there is still plenty of room for improvement for this team, there were passages of play that give this squad belief that they can compete against top sides.

B GRADE were defeated by a strong Birchip outfit, but the girls showed plenty of determination throughout the contest.
After a strong opening quarter, trailing by just five goals at the first break, they continued to battle hard and remained within reach through much of the game.
Some challenges through the midcourt and decision-making allowed Birchip to capitalise at key moments, however the defensive unit worked tirelessly against a physical opposition.
Holly Thompson and Maggie Riley combined well to limit scoring opportunities, while Lacey Smith put together an outstanding defensive performance, consistently disrupting Birchip’s attacking phases.

A GRADE went down in a much-improved and more settled performance this week.
The return of Chloe Walsh provided a strong target in the circle, giving the feeders confidence, while Yasmine Thompson worked hard at GA to create space and opportunities.
The attacking end showed encouraging signs, with Stella Nicolson making her A Grade debut during the rotations.
Ashlee Bowen put great defensive pressure on in the C position and combined well with Claudia Lee feeding to the goalers. Defensively, the pressure applied across the court limited many of Birchip’s scoring chances.
