Male dictates terms to take top singles title
Male cruised to a 6–1, 6–1 victory over Luke Jackson. dictating much of the play with strong groundstrokes and controlled the pace from the outset.

SAM Male put in an impressive performance to claim St Arnaud Lawn Tennis Club’s A Grade singles championship at the weekend.

Luke fought hard and looked to apply pressure where possible, but Sam’s consistent level proved difficult to match.
Aimee Jones recorded a solid straight-sets win over Alex Baldwin in the top ladies’ championship.
Taking the match 6–3, 6–2. Aimee played confidently throughout, combining steady baseline play with well-placed attacking shots.
Alex remained competitive and produced some strong rallies, but Aimee’s composure helped her close out both sets.

In B Grade women Christine Goode delivered a strong performance to defeat Millie Hando 8–2.
Christine set the tone early with consistent shot-making and controlled rallies, quickly building a solid lead. Millie competed well and worked hard to stay in the points, but Christine maintained her momentum throughout the match to secure a convincing win.
Stephen Rodger produced a confident display in the B Grade Men’s match, defeating Bruce Hando 8–2.
Stephen played with consistency and patience, constructing points well and taking his opportunities when they arose. Bruce battled hard and remained competitive in the rallies, but Stephen’s steady play allowed him to take control and finish strongly.
The Junior match provided an entertaining three-set battle, with Noah Hando defeating Sam Greenaway 6–2, 4–6, 6–0.
Noah started strongly to take the opening set before Sam lifted his level to claim the second in a competitive fightback. In the deciding set, Noah regained control and finished strongly to secure the win.
