TWENTY-FOUR bowlers took to the greens for St Arnaud twilight bowls last Thursday.

At just the right moment, the hot sun slipped behind light cloud cover, leaving players to enjoy calm, warm conditions — perfect for social triples.

Eight teams competed, with several tightly-fought contests. Two matches were decided by a single shot, reflecting the evenly-matched play across the rinks.
