Lady golfers narrowly miss rain
THE second round of the St Arnaud Ladies Championships were played in cold and heavy conditions after recent rain.

Leaders of both divisions remained the same with Brenda Proctor still leading silver division and Alison Fahey bronze division. Brenda 187, Marilyn Knights 193, Jenny Lanyon 194, Alison 201, Mary Elliott 216, Lyn Freeman 229.
Winner of the day’s event was Alison 78 nett from runner-up Carmel Weir on a count back from Sharyn Erwin 79 nett.
Nearest the pins were 6th and 8th Marilyn, 18th Jenny Lanyon.
Golfers remember Champion
CHARLTON golfers played with heavy hearts following the passing of one of their beloved members Carmel Fitzpatrick. “We will sadly miss her cheery personality and humour, Carmel will be a forever champion,” president Jamey Soulsby said.
