IN BRIEF: free vaccinations and a day in the gardens
Here's a few bits of news we didn't want you to miss.

A day in the gardens
ARE YOU looking for a day out in the garden?
The annual Gala Day in the Queen Mary Gardens will be held on March 21.
Join the Friends of the Gardens in St Arnaud’s beautiful lush surroundings for a day to celebrate.
The day will include the usual delicious morning tea, a produce stall, indoor ferns and many hardy plants to brighten up your garden.
Local dancers from Dance Capital will be on show on the day and there will also be a number of prizes up for grabs in the raffle.
Extra stall holders are welcome for a small donation.
Enquiries can be made to Ms Box on 0408 951 167.
Vaccines for measles
VICTORIANS are being urged to make sure they are vaccinated against measles, with Victoria experiencing an increased risk of the highly infectious disease that can cause serious illness.
Measles has recently spread in Victoria among people who have not travelled overseas or visited known exposure sites – so vaccination is more important than ever.
The Department of Health has thousands of vaccines for local public health units to distribute so more people can get vaccinated for free.
