‘Great day’ for all abilility bowls

The group of 65 participants from Stawell, St Arnaud, Nhill, Ararat, Greater Western, Ballarat and Swan Hill were treated to a “delicious” morning tea before giving bowls a go.

IT WAS a great day on the green as bowlers of all abilities came together again.

Thanks to the liasing between St Arnaud’s Maurie Woods and Mallee Sports Assembly-Wycheproof’s Rhonda Allan, the now annual event was held in St Arnaud last week.

The group of 65 participants from Stawell, St Arnaud, Nhill, Ararat, Greater Western, Ballarat and Swan Hill were treated to a “delicious” morning tea before giving bowls a go.

“The club is an ideal central regional location that is fully accessible and also has the right equipment to assist participants with limited mobility for the game of bowls,” Mrs Allan said.

“The bowling was an informal, no pressure activity where everyone enjoyed the social interaction while trying out their bowling skills.”

The day ended with a barbeque and each player received a certificate for participating.
