GALLERY: Teams Do It for Maddi

THERE wasn’t a dry eye around the courts at Lord Nelson Park as two towns paid tribute to a bright young light of a person, taken far too soon.
The North Central Football, Netball and Hockey League teams vowed to raise funds for important cancer research over the weekend as it marked All Cancers: Do It for Maddi round.
It was especially touching to be there among the Charlton and St Arnaud players, those who had personally known Maddi Fitzpatrick.

Sadly, Maddi passed away in March 2024, 10 months after she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma (Rhabdo).
Saturday was a sea of purple (universal colour for cancer), green (Maddi’s favourite colour) and beautiful memories.
