MALLEE Creatives was buzzing last Wednesday night with the opening of its next exhibition.

Former Charlton local Libby Letcher’s range of work is now on display in the show “Speculative Footprints”.

Ms Letcher describes her work as “imaginative” and “chaotic”, with a range of mediums and themes coming together in the one exhibition.

“I have such a range of ideas and I don’t like to be bound to just one,” she said.

“Art is about communicating and telling a story, but it’s always up to the viewer what they get out of it.”

Charlton residents and visitors came out in droves to support Mrs Letcher, purchasing work and enjoying the social aspects of the opening.

“Speculative Footprints” will be open at Mallee Creatives until February 22.

Find the space at 9a High Street, Charlton.
