Council denies Mayoral election was not open and transparent
CEO of the Northern Grampians Shire Council Liana Thompson said this week that there is only one place that a Council can make decisions and that is at a properly constituted Council meeting. Ms Thompson was responding to questions from North Central News about the lack of open discussion and transparency that was alleged to have occurred in the decision relating to the election of the Mayor to fill the vacancy that occurred due to the passing of Cr Tony Driscoll.
