Colts wade through fog
As the first quarter got underway it was so dark the lights were turned on but you still couldn’t see the scoreboard from the other end.

IT WAS a foggy drive all the way from St Arnaud to Nulliwal on Saturday and the fog didn’t break till half way through the third quarter of the under 14 North Central clash.
As the first quarter got underway it was so dark the lights were turned on but you still couldn’t see the scoreboard from the other end. Saints were able to move the ball forward and convert to finish the quarter 22-1.
The coaches moved backs up forward and forwards to backs to start the second quarter and the tables turned with Calder United able to get control of the game while Saints failed to score 22 to 19.
Saints opened up the half with a much needed goal and found a bit of rhythm and momentum.
Calder continued to apply plenty of pressure and the quarter finished 31 to 26.
Most of the last quarter was played in the Saints forward line and a sneaky goals from Leo Kay and Ned Ezard to finish the quarter meant that the Saints finished strong and in the lead 63 to 26.
