AT IT’S most recent Board meeting, held at the Charlton campus in June, the East Wimmera Health Service (EWHS) Board of Directors came together to discuss the draft 2026/27 budget, monitor organisational performance and strengthen future planning through initiatives such as the Grampians Local Health Service Network (GLHSN).

The Victorian Racing Club’s Melbourne Cup tour will include a visit to Wycheproof Hospital on September 7.

The Board of Directors acknowledged that this will be a valuable community engagement opportunity for EWHS.

More details of the event and how the members of our community can be involved will be shared at a closer date.

The Board Chair thanked Simone for her dedication, integrity and commitment to improving outcomes for the community.

Her deep connection to the region, including her work within the Birchip community, ensured that local voices were always heard at the Board table.

Residents are encouraged to stay engaged and take part in upcoming consultation opportunities as EWHS continues to plan for the future of healthcare across the region.
