Methodist Valedictory Social: A representative gathering met at the Methodist School Hall to bid “bon voyage” to Mr and Mrs George Parish and their youngest son Gus, who are leaving this district for an extended holiday in England and Scotland. After a musical programme was rendered Rev. Day presented to Mr Parish a handsome travelling rug; to Mrs Parish, a suede travelling cushion; and to Master Gus, a fountain pen. The good wishes of the district go with Mr and Mrs Parish, who sail by the ”Maloja” and expect to be away about 12 months.

A Sudden Call: It was with deep regret people learned of the sudden death of Mr J. H. Peverill. He was a resident of the district for over 50 years. The late Mr Peverill married Miss Caroline Dew. When the Jeffcott football team first started, Mr Peverill was one of the original members. He was a member of the Charlton Agricultural and Pastoral Society. He was also a member of the Bowling Club and a week ago was playing on the green. He is survived by his widow and one son, Harold, of Glenloth.

Buckrabanyule Doings: Another very successful dance was held. The Wedderburn music being up to its usual form, the dancers thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There are about 4000 bags of wheat at the station awaiting trucks. Rain is wanted for drinking purposes. Many of the farmers have been carting water for some time.
