CCTV helps police make arrest after home invasion
Police allege the 29-year-old entered the rear of the premises on Napier Street, St Arnaud, without the owner’s permission.

A ST Arnaud man has been arrested and charged by police for trespassing after allegedly entering around 7pm on March 8.
Police allege the 29-year-old entered the rear of the premises on Napier Street, St Arnaud, without the owner’s permission.
CCTV in the area assisted police with their investigation.
Motorbikes stolen in burglary
POLICE are investigating a burglary at St Arnaud East.
On February 7, offenders forced entry to a shed and shipping container on a property on Old Wedderburn Road.
An attempt to steal a vehicle was unsuccessful, but a number of items were stolen, including two Honda 150cc motorcycles.
Transfer station targeted again
OVERNIGHT on March 4, offenders again gained access to the St Arnaud Transfer Station.
Entry was made through a previously cut hole in the boundary fence, where the offenders forced open a gate and a shipping container.
Items stolen include a CD player, an air conditioner, and a light.
Box Road burglary
OFFENDER/S forced entry to sheds and a container on a property on Box Road, St Arnaud earlier this month. A vehicle and items, including tools, a gas bottle, and batteries, were stolen.
The vehicle was found nearby the following day.
Locks cut on container
OVERNIGHT on March 7, offenders allegedly stole items from a shipping container on a property on Kay Road, St Arnaud.
Stolen items are alleged to include a four-wheel ATV, a chainsaw, inverters, a BBQ, an empty gun safe, and a mesh-sided trailer that was also parked on the property.
Plenty stolen from Cemetary Road
A TOYOTA van, a jackhammer, prospecting tools, and a metal detector were stolen from a garage on a property on Cemetery Road, St Arnaud.
The front gate was rammed to gain access.
The van and several other items have been recovered by police and are undergoing forensic examination.
Man interviewed after theft
INVESTIGATIONS into a theft from a property on McMahon Street, St Arnaud, on March 7 have resulted in a 75-year-old St Arnaud man being interviewed and issued with an official caution.
Fuel taken from Slaty Creek
A WIRE fence was cut to gain access to a property on Barklem Road, Slaty Creek overnight on March 9.
It is alleged that offenders forced open a shed door and siphone approximately 50 litres of diesel from two tractors stored inside.
