ST Arnaud Secondary College was full of tunes last week as the Wimmera Band Group practiced their hearts out.
What started as a team of strangers at the beginning of the seven-day Wimmera Bands Group Music School, ended in a co-ordinated whole group performance on Sunday.
“It’s been a fantastic week,” Group chief executive Peter Battersby said.
“The students have all worked hard.”
Students completed exams before they all played their part in the group performance.
The day ended in awards being handed out to a number of students and officials, including: Peter Battersby for 25 years service, Jimmy Evans-Barker (Harris Band Award), Saylor Shields (Percussion Award), Billy Wilson (Caleb Turner Award), Jordan Doidge (Dyason Band Award), Eshan Deojee (Lofts Band Award).
