THE team at the St Arnaud Community Resource Centre can help you with just about anything.

And if they can’t, they’ll find someone who can.

From Monday to Friday, the team will be in the Napier Street office, ready to lend a hand, as they have done for decades.

“We’ve changed a little bit in the last 20 years, but our vision has only shifted slightly,” Centre Operations Co-ordinator Andrew George said. “We began with a focus on education and business, but now we’re here to help people and connect them to the services they need.”

Those services range from providing computers for internet access to printing, Centrelink access assistance and operating the FoodShare foodbank.

“We have non-perishable and frozen foods, and occasionally fresh fruit and veg, for people who are struggling to pay for groceries,” Mr George said.

“We offer printing services, both glossy photos and posters, laminating, even brochure folding and stapling. We also have items if people find themselves homeless.”

The staff are also there to help those struggling with online forms or mobile phone problems.

“We’re a judgement-free zone, we’re just here to help,” Mr George said.

“We know it’s not about people’s education levels, technology can be difficult.”

The Centre is also a meeting place for many outside services including Grampians Community Health and MADEC Employment Services.

“We also have a board room space that can be booked for larger groups and or if you need a private space and laptop computer for telehealth appointments via ZOOM,” Mr George said.

The team is at 85 Napier Street.
