VNI West Interconnector to bypass Echuca with Option 5A
VNI West is the proposed new high capacity 500 kV double-circuit overhead transmission line, which will deliver new transmission infrastructure to carry renewable power from renewable energy zones (REZ) in New South Wales and Victoria, in particular the wind and solar-rich regions of the Murray River REZ and the Western Victorian REZ.
Option 5A bypasses Echuca, but is the same network option.
